APPOINTMENTS FROM THE PART-TIME POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM. APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE ON VERY SHORT NOTICE. The Accounting Area in the Orfalea College of Business at Cal Poly is seeking applications for a pool of part-time lecturers. Positions are available as determined by need and funding for teaching assignments in Taxation during the Fall and/or Spring semesters of the 2026-2027 academic year, which begins August 17, 2026. The Orfalea College of Business offers a master's in accountancy with a tax specialization and undergraduate classes in taxation. The area is seeking qualified applicants that can teach taxation at the graduate and/or undergraduate levels in the following subject areas: multi-state taxation, international, individual, corporate, partnership, estate and gift and/or reorganizations. Assignments are contingent upon class availability, scheduling, budget and enrollments. Initial rank and salary for lecturer faculty are based on professional experience and educational background and are determined by the hiring department.
