ER Technician I - ED Galveston Island 9A-9P (Full time) - ( 2602299 ) Description EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Minimum Qualifications: One (1) year of related experience. Completion of one of the following technical programs: Completion of EMT program OR Is enrolled in a recognized School of Nursing and has completed the first semester of education which contains clinical concepts and health assessments OR Active state EMS certification in good standing at the date of hire OR Recognized military training as a US Army medic, US Navy Corpsmen, US Air Force Medic, or US Coast Guard Corpsmen - Completion of ER Tech CBO Tool within 6 months of employment. Required: - BLS from American Heart Association (AHA) JOB DESCRIPTION: To provide intermediate technical assistance and supportive patient care to meet the needs of individual patients throughout assigned areas in the Emergency Department.
