Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing technician-level engineering activities in support of the development of new automated systems to support MSD’s consumables manufacturing production. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Assemble, test, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair precision electronic and electro-mechanical devices independently or in high-level consultation with engineers - Build and wire complex control panels and systems based on drawings, instructions and guidelines - Design, fabricate, and assemble test fixtures and prototype systems - Source electronic and mechanical components based on required performance specifications - Lead and/or substantially contribute to the development of product assembly, test, calibration, and repair procedures - Maintain tool and equipment inventories for R&D work - Maintain component inventory for prototype systems - Understand and follow laboratory safety precautions and ensure compliance with company safety policies - Specific duties may vary depending upon departmental requirements EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: - Associates’ degree in mechanical or electrical engineering. - Additional years of experience may be...
