POSITION OVERVIEW: The Sr. Warehouse Lead will assist in coordinating all daily warehouse activities under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Prioritize work load within the warehouse. - Maintain training records for all employees. - Identify and address all safety hazards within the work area - Train new warehouse employees in material handling and identification. - Assist shipping and receiving, unload trucks with forklift or crane, check in merchandise, match purchase orders to sales orders and distribute to sales associates for processing. - Accurately stock material physically and electronically into proper warehouse bin locations. - Participate in Lean/Kaizen, Black Belt, and other Operational Excellence initiatives. - Read and accurately transact customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped. - Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic. - Open bales, crates, and other containers.
