JOB TITLE : OR Registered Nurse ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The delivery of patient care through the framework of the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis and patient outcome) in the preoperative, interoperative and postoperative phase of the surgical patient. SUPERVISION RECEIVED : Supervisor of Clinical Services QUALIFICATIONS: - Degree from accredited nursing program. - Current Texas RN License. - BLS certification. - ACLS and PALS or successful completion within 3 months of hire date. - 2 year OR experience - Must possess organizational skills to function in a fast paced OR environment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - CNOR - 2 year OR experience including general, neuro-spine, spine and orthopedic joint. (Preferred sports medicine, arthroscopy, podiatry, pain and oral surgery). - Scrub experience or willingness to learn. OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE: Category I exposure to blood borne pathogens, frequent exposure to chemical hazards and radiation hazards.
