This opening is for the entry level position into the pulp mill. The successful candidate will start in the labour pool and use their seniority to bid into production or other departments as positions become available. You'll Do: As part of the labour pool your main responsibilities will include: As you accrue seniority in the union you will have the opportunity to bid into various departments when positions open up. - Housekeeping in our Chip Screens area - Learning our safety procedures - Troubleshooting equipment as requested You have: - A grade 12 diploma - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Our West Fraser values (including integrity, humility, teamwork, frugality, innovation, competitiveness, and respect) - The desire to learn, grow and succeed - Post-secondary education would be considered an asset Compensation Package: - The hourly pay rate for this position will follow the collective agreement between Unifor 1115 and Cariboo Pulp Ltd.
