Job DetailsJob Location: Athens, OH 45701Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: 10-Hour Evening ShiftJob Category: Allied HealthIn an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Medical Technologist is responsible for performing specimen testing and operates various laboratory instruments and reports results to appropriate personnel. This position is also responsible for obtaining samples for analysis and oversees maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times. Job Functions: Performs specimen testing (manual and automated) and operates various laboratory instruments. Obtains specimens for analysis in the hospital and at off-site locations. Oversees maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and procedures. Performs Linearity, Calibrations, and Quality Control as required by instrument and accreditation guidelines. Performs all assigned Proficiency Testing in a timely manner. Reviews and signs all electronic document control records as assigned.
