Job description

Leads and directs the strategic vision and execution of the district’s project development and project delivery functions. Develops and manages strategies to maximize the movement of people and goods to their destinations efficiently, environmentally sensitively and safely. How you will contribute: - District Leadership: Provide support to the District Engineer or Administrator in all facets of district operations. Assist in creating an organizational culture of high performance, commitment, and partnership. Consistently communicate the VDOT mission, vision and values. - Locality Collaboration: Collaborate with localities to assure progress and quality of infrastructure projects to meet the needs of citizens while minimizing maintenance and operation costs for the department. - Project Development and Delivery: Directly accountable for the execution of the district’s multi-billion dollar design and construction programs and their operations. Provide strategic vision, leadership and direction to senior managers and staff in delivering the district’s programs.
