Business, Location: X-Ray Technology, Scotts Valley Role: Glassing Technician Reports to: Production Supervisor Key relationships: No reports Primary Purpose: Use a hydrogen-oxygen torch to heat 8250 tubing while using foot pedals to manipulate the glass on a Litton glass lathe. Key Responsibilities: Standards of Performance: Cut & clean tubing using diamond saw. Verify seals meet product specifications. Utilize & operate Helium Leak detector and Keyence measuring tool. Tubing is cut and cleaned with precision, ensuring no burrs or contamination. Seals are inspected and verified to meet all product specifications with zero tolerance for defects. Operate helium leak checker and Keyence machines, following all SOPs and safety protocols. Equipment is maintained in good working condition; issues are reported immediately. Read & interpret technical drawings & written & verbal instructions Technical drawings and instructions are interpreted accurately with minimal supervision. Work is completed in alignment with specifications, tolerances, and timelines. Clarifications are proactively sought when instructions are unclear.
