MGH-Auto Press Power Truck Operator - 2nd Shift

Job description

The Auto. Press/ Power Truck Operator will serve our Water Heater Division, located in Montgomery, AL. - Operator must understand the safety of the entire line including: Loading coils, feeding steel through straightener and feeder, first and last progression of the die, and emergency shut down of press equipment. - Must properly set and use light curtains. - Must understand proper start up and shut down of equipment. - Must set indicators for material thickness. - Must set guides for material width. - Must understand CNC controls such as: Link 2500, Tonnage Monitor, PLC feed system. - Operator is to properly identify and retrieve steel according to steel codes (proper material thickness and width), and load coil through the feeder system. - Assist die setter as required. - Monitor complete operations to ensure proper operation of press system and to maintain maximum production for which the system is designed. - Make all adjustments as required for proper press operations. - Must identify, trouble shoot, and correct operation of press line. - May involve communicating with die setter, maintenance, or tooling. - Maintain good housekeeping in work area. - Work from written or verbal...
