About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 10 The Team: The Americas shipping team consists of five market reporters who assess freight for crude and refined products tankers and containers. The team also includes three researchers who handle expansive projects to widen our offerings to customers and differentiate Platts from competitors. The right candidate for this role will be a curious, independent and enthusiastic team player with a keen interest in market reporting in a fast-paced, dynbamic environment where market-moving changes can occur daily. We value and foster a collaborative team environment that encourages working together. Responsibilities and Impact: Americas Tanker Market Assessments - Assessing the value of a defined set of tanker markets with sharp accuracy on a daily basis. Travel is encouraged to scope out relevant events in the Americas and internationally for speaking/presenting opportunities and to widen source contacts. These include major S&P Global Energy conferences and important shipping events as well as site visits to critical shipping operations such as major ports and the Panama Canal.
