Job Description Overview: We are seeking a Principal Civil Engineer – HV Substations to be based in one of our Republic of Ireland offices. The successful candidate will work in our Energy team within a multidisciplinary office and will work on Power and Energy projects primarily in the design of High Voltage Substations. The candidate should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking, flexible, willing to take responsibility and comfortable working as part of team. Your role: - Providing lead civil engineering design input to major electrical power infrastructural development projects through all lifecycle stages from feasibility and front‑end engineering to detailed design, site construction monitoring and commissioning. - Preparation of project reports (Planning, Tender, Construction Stage) with an ability to communicate complex technical matters with crystal clear clarity. - Communication of design intent via PowerPoint presentations in layman terms to technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Preparation of fee proposals and site specific quality submissions for design contracts with public and private clients. - Oversight of preparation of design drawings. - Undertaking d...
