Description Opportunity to join Health and Wellness team by providing mental health care in support of educational and vocational goals of young people, ages 16-24. Intervention at individual, team and organizational levels. The Center Mental Health Consultant (CMHC) manages and develops programs to support center-wide goals and interacts with students and staff, providing direction for our mental health program. Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:30am-4:00pm This is a full time, on site position. Duties: Participates in the Center’s applicant file review team to review and assess applicant’s mental health, behavior and educational information (e.g. IEP, 504 plan); conducts interviews to determine if center can provide health care needs of individual applicants. (weekly) Provides mental health assessments and evaluations for students as well as short-term therapy with mental health checks as needed. (weekly) Conducts mental health evaluations in emergencies, refers students to Mobile Crisis or psychiatric care, is available for urgent mental health consultations to Health and Wellness Manager.
