Summary/General Description of Job: Safely operates, maintains and repairs one or more boilers to produce steam or high-temperature water for use in an establishment. Essential Duties & Job Functions: - Fully capable of firing off high pressure steam boilers on natural gas or fuel oil. - Ability to stop and start high pressure boilers - Observes and interprets readings on gauges, meters, and charts which register various aspects of boiler operation. - Adjusts controls to insure safe and efficient boiler operation and to meet demands for steam or high temperature water, in accordance with AFI and PWS. - Maintains boiler operation log; clean, oil, make minor repairs to boiler room equipment; and foll...
