Overview GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION: Under the general supervision of the Director or designee, the Maintenance Co-Generation Engineer II supervises the maintenance and repair of 13,000 volt main circuit breakers and steam, electricity, and chilled water systems. Operates as Shift Supervisor Operations as necessary leading a team of three other engineers through 12 hour shifts meeting load demands, weather changes, equipment outages, optimizing efficiency, and coordinating with facilities operations. Responsibilities: MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: - Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all power plant equipment including two 1100 psig and two 250 psig boilers, 5000 kw and two 2500 kw turbine generators, electric and diesel air compressors, 4000 ton electric, 5000 ton and three 2500 ton turbine driven chillers, 7500 kw combustion turbine and 1100 psig heat recovery steam generator, 400 psig gas compressor, pumps, motors and all other related equipment auxiliaries. - Supervises the operation of an assigned watch for the production of steam power, electric power and refrigeration.
