Job Description Merchandiser II – Mendota, IL This is a full-time, exempt position. Position Summary: The primary focus of the Merchandiser II is to assist the regions trading manager in trading the IL River, Burlington, and Gulfport’s CIF, freight, and spread positions. Other responsibilities will include managing the IL River’s barge logistics and execution, building and maintaining customer relationships, accounting, and customer related issues. Description of work performed: - Participate in origination, trading and logistics, providing insight and discussing opportunities. - Communicate daily with the operations group on loading plans, freight needs, and dump hours. - Bill barges and send out daily release. - Perform different month end tasks such as the fair market value file, month end estimate, barge freight market to market, and book to physicals. - Identify and analyze market opportunities by maintaining close contact with other ADM divisions and external customers. - Communicate market information both within the office and throughout the company as market opportunities present themselves. - Maintain a commercial customer list and develop a strong relationship with those...
