Southern Careers Institute (SCI) is seeking a knowledgeable Payroll Specialist to process and manage the company’s payroll. This position offers a competitive base salary plus incentive compensation. Qualifications: Benefits: - Compile payroll data such as hours worked, sales or piecework, taxes, and insurance to be withheld, and employee identification number, from time sheets and other records; - Prepare computer input forms, enter data into computer files, or compute wages and deductions and post to payroll records; - Review wages computed and correct errors to ensure accuracy of payroll; - Record changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage, and loan payments for each employee to update master payroll records; - Prepare and issue paychecks; - Review and approve payroll deductions; - Interpret company policies and government regulations affecting payroll procedures; - Coordinate employee benefits enrollment and deductions with HR benefits coordinator; - Ensure ongoing coordination with HR to properly capture correct pay for New Hires and Terminations. - A Bachelor's degree in a related field or 2-3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent com...
