Material Handler

Job description

The Material Handler is responsible for safely moving raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility, supporting production and shipping operations, and maintaining accurate inventory locations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring material flow is efficient, organized, and aligned with system records. Key Responsibilities: Safety & Compliance - Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements - Maintain clean and organized work areas (6S standards) - Identify and report unsafe conditions immediately - Participate in safety meetings and incident investigations - Support a goal of zero incidents - Always operate equipment in a safe manner - Perform daily forklift inspections and report any issues Material movement and handling: - Operate forklift (sit-down) to move materials safely and efficiently - If necessary, load and unload trucks, staging materials for shipping and receiving - Transport raw materials to production lines and remove finished goods - Stack, store, and organize materials in designated warehouse locations - Handle various product types (palletized goods, long-length materials like roofing/metal, etc.) Inventory Accuracy: - Maintain accurate...
