Job Title Mechanical Technician III Compensation Level I: $35.55/hr Level III: $51.35/hr Agency Vehicle Provided Location Midkiff/Midland, TX Schedule 5/2 M–F & on call rotation Target Start Date ASAP Scope MAIN FUNCTIONS: Technicians are assigned to carry out maintenance work. This can either be an ExxonMobil (XOM) employee or a Contractor resource. Typically reports to a supervisor. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Estimates workload to establish completion dates - Assists mechanical engineers in planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery (engines, instruments, controls, etc.) - Helps prepare proposals and cost estimates - Actively participates in all on-the-job safety tools - Reviews job packs - Identifies safety issues and ensures mitigation prior to execution - Executes work as planned - Records technical history (GRT, data sheets, etc.) - Provides feedback on job pack improvements to Execution FLS - Requests permits and escalates if not issued within 30 minutes SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: - Discipline-appropriate certifications or equivalent experience - Strong communication skills (clear field condition reporting + remediation recommendations) - Team-...
