Principal – Developer Experience (AI Powered Engineering) *Sydney or Melbourne location Role Summary: We’re looking for a senior engineering leader to shape how AI tools are introduced, adopted, and experienced across engineering and to help elevate the end-to-end engineering experience across the Group. Sitting within the AI Powered Engineering (AIPE) team , this role focuses on designing the end-to-end experience of AI-enabled software development —from code authoring and review through to deployment and operations. This role is accountable for the holistic design of Engineering tooling, SDLC workflows, AI Powered Engineering (AIPE) interactions, and Platform as Product experiences. You will shape how engineers experience internal platforms and AI-enabled workflows—ensuring they are usable, coherent, scalable, and aligned to engineering standards and business outcomes. This is not a feature-level design role. It is a systems design leadership role, responsible for defining experience strategy, interaction models, usability principles, and adoption frameworks across a complex internal ecosystem.
