Job description

This post is for an Assistant Finance Manager in the Benefit Accounting and Forecasting team within Social Security Scotland’s Finance and Corporate Services division. The role will be on a temporary basis for up to nine months. The Benefit Accounting and Forecasting team is primarily responsible for ensuring the organisation has robust financial management arrangements in place for accounting for benefits including the management of the organisations banking structure and cash flows, while ensuring value for money for the taxpayer. Responsibilities: - Contribute to monthly reconciliations and internal controls, analysis and review, and management sign off. - Provide oversight and support for Social Security Scotland’s banking and cash management activities and processes. - Line management responsibility for 1-2 Finance Officers (B1), providing support and guidance to team members.
