Job description

Position: Controller/Business Analyst Reports to: CFO Location: Milwaukee, WI Type: Exempt Summary: The Controller is responsible for the oversight of accounting, inventory management, and the development and execution of the business intelligence system. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Accounting: - Monthly preparation and compilation of financial statements. - Monthly bank package preparation including borrowing base certificate, covenant compliance, and supporting narrative. - Oversight of Stein Family Partnership financial statements. - Quarterly tax estimates for Stein Garden Centers and related partnerships. - Monitor online banking, cash management transactions, and cash flow reporting. - Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. - Specific financial project analyses as directed by the CFO. - In collaboration with the CFO, develop and monitor key financial metrics. - Oversight of fixed asset accounting. - Assist in the development of the annual operating budgets.
