GENERAL SUMMARY: AS&G is excited to welcome a skilled Heavy-Duty Mechanic to our dynamic Anchorage Shop team! If you thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and enjoy working side by side with a strong crew, this is the place for you. You’ll help keep our operation moving by maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy equipment and company trucks including our hard-working cement mixer (ready-mix) fleet. From inspections and diagnostics to repairs and preventative maintenance, you’ll play a key role both in the Shop and out in the field. This is a full ‑ time, year ‑ round position with opportunities for overtime work as production requires. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment including loaders, haul trucks, dozers, excavators, and support machinery. - Perform maintenance and repairs on cement mixer trucks, including drums, chutes, hydraulic systems, gearboxes, and mixer controls. - Maintain and repair trucks: engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, electrical, emissions, and hydraulic systems. - Perform DOT-compliant inspections and preventative maintenance. - Utilize diagnostic equipment, shop tools, welding equipment, and lifting d...
