Description Position Summary: The Vice Chair of Education will provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, and scholarly vision for all educational initiatives within the Department of Emergency Medicine, including undergraduate medical education (UME), graduate medical education (GME), fellowship programs, and faculty development. The successful candidate will oversee the residency program’s daily operations while advancing UVA’s commitment to innovative curricula, collaboration, wellness, leadership development, and AI-driven educational strategies . The Vice Chair will report directly to the Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine and collaborate closely with UVA Health leadership, the School of Medicine’s Office of Educational Affairs, and GME leadership.
