Radiology Technical Assistant - Galveston MRI - ( 2602287 ) Description Minimum Qualifications: - High school graduate or GED or equivalent years of education, experience and/or training. - BLS CPR Certification from an AHA-approved course provider Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a medical environment, such as direct patient care (CNA, MA, etc.), clinic front office, patient transportation, or other position involving patient contact preferred JOB DESCRIPTION: To provide quality care to patients undergoing imaging procedures. The Radiology Technology Assistant must also demonstrate full knowledge of the imaging procedures within their assigned modality. The Radiology Technical Assistant will adhere to all applicable safety policies. They will work under the direction of the Modality Technologist, Modality Lead or Supervisor, and Imaging Manager. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Assists in preparing room for radiologic procedures by ensuring required supplies are available. - Assists with patient flow within assigned modality setting. - Responsible for transportation of patients using patient bed, stretcher, or wheelchair as necessary. - Provides comfort measures to patient. - Pre...
