Job description

The Supervisor of Pharmacy coordinates the daily activities of the Pharmacy, provides leadership and oversight to ensure optimal pharmaceutical care to the patients and assists with policy development to enhance the quality of patient care. The position is expected to meet state certifications, requires familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures, and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. - Management Responsibilities - Utilizes advanced clinical knowledge to delegate responsibility and authority for providing services, while continuously improving services to meet customer needs, and assuring adequate resources are available. Implements and monitors departmental work schedules and duty assignments and oversees departmental staffing levels. - Schedules and assigns work to staff members, monitors work quality and quantity, and ensures efficient departmental operations by providing support when needed. - Directs, coordinates, and participates in orientation, training, and continuing education programs for nurses, pharmacists and technicians. - Quality - Assist in the development of departmental policies and procedures to ensure the provisio...
