About the Role Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Market Risk Officer to join the Investment Portfolio Risk Oversight (IPRO) team within Finance Risk Management. This role sits in the second line of defense and reports to the Market Risk Senior Manager. The position provides independent risk oversight of the firm’s Investment Portfolio, with responsibility for assessing new investment strategies, portfolio initiatives, and risk tradeoffs, while ensuring alignment with firmwide policies, governance, and risk appetite. This is a highly visible role requiring strong technical market risk expertise, sound judgment, and executive‑level communication skills. You will partner closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across Independent Risk, Business Units, Treasury, Finance, Operations, Control, and Audit.
