Environmental Specialist III

Job description

Overview We have a career opportunity for an Environmental Specialist III to join our team! Under general direction, the Environmental Specialist III works collaboratively with others to provide environmental expertise and technical direction necessary to ensure that facilities owned and operated by Citizens achieve compliance with all applicable environmental regulations. This includes monitoring, recordkeeping and reporting required by regulations, training of personnel to perform these activities, and development of programs to support regulatory compliance. Activities include communications with internal and external stakeholders relative to regulatory requirements, preparation of reports for submittal to the agencies, and participation in internal and external meetings related to environmental programs. The Environmental Specialist III actively engages as a member and may serve in a leadership capacity of cross-functional teams for the evaluation of regulatory applicability, development of compliance strategies, the implementation of capital projects, environmental policies or other business purposes.
