Description Summary: The Middle School Religion teacher is a committed Sacred Heart educator who will relate well with 5th-8th graders and is passionate about teaching middle school students. The ideal candidate will embrace both the school’s mission and a myriad of responsibilities involved with being an educator at an independent school. Primary Responsibilities: - Implement the standards for Religion set forth by the Archdiocese of Galveston Houston within the Duchesne curricular framework of rigorous, project-based learning that focuses on critical thinking, reading, writing, and speaking - Plan, organize, and lead activities designed to promote academic, social, and emotional development in a supportive and engaging learning environment - Create an emotionally responsive, caring, positive, and accepting environment supportive of the individual development of each child and family - Supervise young children and ensure a safe and loving environment including the ability to monitor and respond to events going on at all times in the classroom, outdoor play areas, and other areas of the campus - Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students varying needs and i...
