Job Description Operates the telephone console, performs communication activities and responsible for various duties. Performs various routine clerical duties. Job Responsibility: *ADA Essential Functions - * Operates multiple line console to relay incoming, outgoing and intra-system calls. - * Provides directory assistance to physicians and others. - * Maintains updated list of Administrators, Attending Doctors, Medical and Surgical Staff, and legal, by maintaining extensions and telephone numbers.Updates various lists and records, such as beeper lists and emergency phone numbers. - * Calls appropriate personnel for authorization to place long distance calls for medical purposes.Maintains accurate log of all long distance and overseas calls, forwarding the information to the Director of Telecommunications. - * Program or swap beepers for all hospital staff.Providing beeper forms and notification to staff when beeper is available. - * Contacts personnel through the use of the beeper system. - * Utilization of the overhead paging system for all emergencies, codes, and all pertinent announcements, such as conferences, meetings and the ending of visiting hours. - * Announces all codes...
