Description SDS 322R Community Engagement and Social Development This course highlights the importance of community engagement for individual, community, and societal well-being and introduces theory and methods related to social inclusion and participation in community. Through case examples and hands-on experience, this course explores approaches to research and professional practice designed to stimulate social development through community engagement. Course schedule: January 2025 – April 2025, Tuesday/Thursday 4:00-5:20pm, in person Requirements: - Applicants should have a PhD completed or in progress, or a Master’s degree plus significant experience as an educator. - Prepare and adhere to the academic course syllabus - Meet course learning objectives - Grade student assignments - Be available to meet with students outside of class hours; and, - Submit final grades.
