Job DetailsJob Location: Omaha Zoo - Omaha, NE 68107Job Title: Animal Care Assistant Dome Mammals FLSA Status: Non-exempt: Hours: Part-time Seasonal, late May early September, 600 hours total, 40 hours per week (Tuesday/Wednesday weekend) About the role: The Animal Care Assistant in the Dome Mammals department will provide daily husbandry and care for a large, diverse collection of desert and nocturnal mammals and birds in the Desert Dome and Kingdoms of the Night. The successful candidate must be willing to work in a fast-paced and highly changing environment. This position reports directly to the Desert Dome Supervisor. This seasonal position will help aspiring animal care professionals acquire valuable hands-on experience with a wide variety of species to fulfill a pre-requisite to gaining employment in the zoological field.
