Salary/Position Classification: - $40,000 - $42,000 Annual, Dependent on Experience, Exempt - 40 hours per week, 11 month (August 16 - July 15) - This position will work onsite at UND Grand Forks, ND campus Purpose of Position: The Mission of the UND TRIO Upward Bound program is to increase the academic skills and motivation of low income/first generation high school students to prepare for college. The purpose of the Instruction Coordinator/Advisor position is to assist in the implementation and development of the Upward Bound program, participant recruitment, and direct work and engagement with student participants to achieve program objectives. This is a 11-month position which runs from August 16 to July 15. Duties & Responsibilities: - Meet with students on a regular basis for academic, personal, and career advising Tasks involved in fulfilling the above duties/responsibilities (include description for physical and mental/cognitive demands) - Visit target schools regularly and provide students with personal, career, and academic counseling - Advise students on course selection for high school graduation and college acceptance - Help with ACT registration and preparation, finan...
