Description Job Title: Sacristan: Employment Status : Part-time: FLSA Status: Non-exempt/hourly: Schedule : 20 hours per week Summary: The Sacristan will minister to all the major liturgies of St. Anthony Claret Church. He/she will prepare, maintain, and inventory those objects necessary for each liturgical event as well as facilitate and welcome other ministers participating. Maintain the Church Complex: a. Supervise volunteers in regular cleaning of church building except those areas maintained by the janitor. b. Inventory all cleaning supplies; fill out a purchase order for any needed supplies. c. Fill out a work request whenever necessary. d. Maintain bathrooms and refill supplies as needed in between Sunday liturgies. Inventory of Sacristy: a. Set up and supervise the regular replenishment of materials like wine, bread, and candles. b. Procure annual items like palms and paschal candles. c. Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of vestments (to include altar server robes), vessels and altar linens as necessary. Replacement of such items will be discussed with the Pastor. d.
