Job Title: Homecare Campaign Canvasser Location: Richmond, Hampton Roads, and Northern Virginia Salary: $26.00 an hour: Be part of a historic campaign to uplift Virginia’s homecare workers by helping them win collective bargaining rights, improve working conditions, and build long-term worker power. This is a unique opportunity to stand with caregivers—many of whom are women, immigrants, and people of color—and ensure their voices are heard in their workplaces and beyond. Position Details: Duration: Beginning October 1, 2025; campaign role with potential extension based on performance Key Responsibilities: Worker Engagement & Outreach - Conduct door-to-door canvassing to engage homecare workers in support of the collective bargaining campaign - Educate workers on their rights, the benefits of collective bargaining, and how to get involved - Listen to worker concerns, identify potential leaders, and recruit participants for campaign events and organizing meetings - Meet weekly outreach and engagement goals - Maintain accurate records of conversations, follow-ups, and commitments Data Collection & Reporting: - Use digital tools like VAN/MiniVAN to log all worker interactions - Enter...
