Description The Assistant Coach in any sport supports and advances the mission of FCS by providing leadership, supervision, and coaching instruction. Responsibilities may include supervising teams at various school levels. Reports directly to the Head Coach. Assistant Coach Responsibilities: - Provide Christian leadership and coaching to all players - Provide instruction in all phases of the game - Work with FCS student-athletes to improve personal and teamwork skills - Provide guidance and encouragement to help students profit from their participation - Maintain compliance with Fredericksburg Christian School, VCAC and Virginia Independent School Athletic Association (VISAA) rules, regulations, and policies that pertain to athletic programs - Promote the proper use and care of school property - Communicate effectively with the team, staff, parents, administration, community, and the media - Participate in athletic department fund-raisers - Be knowledgeable of, monitor, and maintain compliance with applicable health and safety practices - Maintain an acceptable attendance record and is punctual Requirements: - Committed Christian with a close personal walk with the Lord and the Chr...
