Nursing Scheduler The Nursing Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and coordinating nursing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage in a long-term care setting. This role supports quality resident care by balancing staffing requirements, regulatory compliance, and employee availability while serving as a key resource for nursing leadership and staff. Key Responsibilities: - Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs) - Ensure staffing levels meet regulatory requirements, facility policies, and resident care needs - Manage schedule changes related to call-offs, PTO, leaves of absence, and shift trades - Coordinate staffing coverage, including use of overtime, float staff, or agency personnel as approved - Communicate scheduling changes clearly and timely to nursing staff and leadership - Maintain accurate staffing records and reports for payroll, audits, and survey readiness - Monitor staffing patterns for compliance with state, federal, and CMS requirements - Collaborate with nursing leadership to address staffing concerns and workforce planning needs - Maintain confidentiality of employee scheduling and personne...
