Steam Fireman - Evening Shift 2600026A Description Taunton State Hospital is seeking a Steam Fireman with experience in low pressure (I5 psi) set of boilers which are controlled by “C B Hawk” computers with more emphasis on maintenance of engineering systems. Please Note : This position is 40 hours per week. The incumbent will work on the evening shift from 2:30-11 p.m. The days off are Wednesday and Thursday. Duties and Responsibilities (these duties and responsibilities are not all inclusive): - Checks, inspects and monitors various machinery, equipment and systems such as boilers, heat control valves, steam traps, pumps, compressors, generators, chemical and oil tanks, heaters, water softeners, smoke recorders, fans, heat exchangers, exhaust systems, air conditioning and ventilation, motor bearings, smoke stack, storage tanks, gas delivery systems, fire alarm and smoke detector systems, sprinkler systems, hydrants, stand pipes, pneumatic controls, electrical equipment, refrigeration equipment, chillers, water & sewer distribution systems and street lighting systems.
