Description Magnus-Metal is a ground-breaking start-up specializing in the development of an innovative additive casting process for producing exceptionally large metal components. This cutting-edge digital technology merges traditional casting with additive manufacturing. Our machine has successfully validated the technology and process. We are expanding our physics team and seeking a PhD-level physicist to support simulation-driven development and early experimental validation. The role of Simulation Physicist focuses on the development and application of Multiphysics models to support both ongoing process-understanding and the evaluation of new physical concepts. The position is simulation-driven and involves translating coupled physical phenomena into predictive models, with emphasis on electromagnetics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics. The work supports design decisions and deepens understanding of complex physical processes within the system. The role requires strong physical intuition, solid numerical modeling capabilities, and the ability to extract clear insights from simulation results, working in close collaboration with multidisciplinary R&D teams.
