Job description

The IT Configuration Analyst, Junior supports configuration management activities that keep the enterprise configuration management database (CMDB) accurate, complete, and reliable across infrastructure and application services. The role focuses on collecting, validating, and updating configuration item (CI) records so that the environment’s current state is consistently reflected for operational and governance needs. Working under the direction of senior configuration and service management staff, this position assists with configuration audits, data quality checks, and analysis that enable effective incident, change, and problem management. The analyst helps ensure configuration data can be confidently used for impact analysis, risk assessment, and decision‑making across a federal IT environment.
