Description JOB DESCRIPTION: Leads and coordinates the day to day operations of the Pharmacy Department which includes staff supervision, legal compliance and reporting, security of controlled substances, collaboration with other departments, and quality performance. Performs other related duties as required. Monitors expenditures and prepares financial reports to assist in preparing departmental budget. Coordinates nursing unit inspections for compliance with the regulatory standards set forth by the organization and by accrediting bodies. Oversees supply areas; monitors availability of commonly used pharmacological agents, equipment, and materials. Supervises staff and manages employee performance. Provides on-going performance feedback, addresses problems, orients and trains employees, verifies competency and identifies and suggests ways to develop skills. Plans and develops a work schedule; monitors, directs, and redirects workflow for efficiency and productivity to meet or exceed established standards.
