Job description
The network engineer is responsible for configuring, installing and maintaining wireless access points and gateways, as well as ethernet switches and related physical components across the three main USNH campuses, Keene State College, Plymouth State University, and UNH Durham. Duties/Responsibilities: Wireless Network (55%): Configure and install wireless access points and gateways following university configuration templates and procedure during equipment refresh cycles or as new project requirements. Utilize tools such as Aruba Central, Airwave, NetAlly, and Wifi Analyzer in daily wireless network maintenance. Monitor, measure and troubleshoot network performance using tools such as spectrum analyzers and network traffic analyzers, proactively mitigating network problems as they arise. Provide network design options to support daily asset management of all USNH 800+ ethernet switches, 20,000+ Ethernet ports and 7000 wireless access points within the enterprise.
