Job Description Summary The Sr. Machining Engineer acts as a high-level technical expert and supervisor on the shop floor, overseeing CNC/manual machining operations, complex setups, and mentoring junior staff. As a member of the Engineering team, you will be an active contributor to the factory volume ramp and standardization efforts. A Machining Technical Leader will work onsite at our Investment Casting Foundry in Schenectady Cores and Castings where you will get to work with innovative technologies, and SX/DS buckets. Job Description: Roles and Responsibilities: - Assure that all owned equipment are operating as designed, including all safety features. - Generate, verify and maintain CNC programs utilizing NX-CAM or equivalent software. This will include multi-axis milling, waterjet cutting, sinker EDM, wire EDM as well as any future CNC machines that will be used in the factory. - Provide CNC related support to Process and Product Engineering in their machining needs. - Train and qualify operators during new / rebuilt machine startup, process improvements and new product introductions.
