Job description

Assists the Director of Finance/ Assistant Director of Finance in the performance of accounting duties. Under limited supervision, the Staff Accountant supports the Director of Finance in executing daily and monthly accounting functions. This role is essential to maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with tax and audit requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to upholding the financial integrity of the hotel. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: · Assist with the daily processes of the Accounting Department, which include income audit, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, & general cashiering. · Set up House Accounts and A/R Accounts as needed or directed by management · Complete daily income journal reconciliation balancing to PMS / POS Reports · Prepares month-end journal entries for Director of Finance review, as needed · Participate in the monthly/quarterly physical inventories process as required by policy. · Review and reconcile contract labor in Work Records if applicable · Review Tax Exemptions · Responsible to respond and resolve all chargebacks as they occur · Prepare and pro...
