Job description
Responsibilities The Lead Respiratory Therapist must hold the CRT / RRT credential from the NBRC and must be licensed to practice Respiratory Care in the State of Texas. The Lead Respiratory Therapist shall deliver competent and compassionate Respiratory Care Services for patients of all age groups. The Lead Respiratory Therapist shall work cooperatively with all dept. staff, Physicians, Nursing Staff, Ancillary Staff, and other members of the patient care team to maintain standards for professional practices. The Lead Respiratory Therapist is also responsible for assisting the Cardiopulmonary Assistant Manager / Manager in planning, organizing, educating, assessing competence, and supervising other department staff working on their respective shifts. The Lead Respiratory Therapist must be able to perform and monitor Moderately Complex Testing as related to the daily function and operation of the Blood Gas Laboratory. The Lead Respiratory Therapist must perform at an exceptionally high skill level in all Specialty areas.
