Salary/Position Classification: - 22.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime) - 20 hours per week (Summer only position) - 100% Remote Work Availability: No - Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No Purpose of Position: Undergraduate Research Experience and Training in Quantum Computing Applications. This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Duties & Responsibilities: - Conduct numerical experiments to test quantum algorithms for applications of quantum computers in challenging problems in chemistry and physics - Do data analysis, write reports and present finding in the group and potentially in conferences - Learn about the new progress in quantum computing in industry and academia Required Competencies: - Basic skills in mathematics, physics, and chemistry - Basic skills in programming Minimum Requirements: In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
