The Rehabilitation Assistant is a critical role within our communities as it impacts the lives of residents through the strong leadership and motivation of Sienna team members. As a Rehabilitation Assistant your typical day will impact the following ways: - Follow rehabilitation and mobilization program of residents as directed by the treating PT/OT. - Assists assigned clients with established rehabilitative activities such as mobility and strengthening exercises, walking programs and activities of daily living as directed - Demonstrate to residents the use of prescribed treatments / adaptive devices such as braces, wheelchairs and walkers and modified eating utensils and personal care items as directed. - Reports observations of residents' behaviour and progress to Therapist /Nurse; communicates concerns and / or changes to resident condition. - To maintain an attendance roster for statistical purposes.
