Job description

Purpose and Scope: On the Kennedy Propellants and Life Support Services (KPLSS II) program on Kennedy Space Center FL, perform a variety of engineering assignments in planning and overseeing research, development, design, manufacture, test, installation, operation, and maintenance of diverse electronic/mechanical equipment and systems and generally as a member of a design, analysis or review team on more complex assignments or as a lead on less complex assignments. Essential Responsibilities: 1) Perform a range of design development, analysis or review tasks under minimal supervision. 2) Ensure safe operations and maintenance of all propellant activities from conceptual design of systems, through procurement, activation, modification, and daily operations and maintenance. 3) Provide technical direction to technicians, inspectors, contractors, and others in the operations, maintenance, repair, re-manufacture, fabrication, troubleshooting, and removal from service of assigned systems and equipment. 4) Prepare technical documentation that identifies the need for, cost evaluation of, specifications for, activation of, functional and safety analysis of, maintenance of and operator train...
