Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) has an immediate opening for a Corporate Accounting Supervisor located at Columbus General Office in Columbus , Nebraska. Position closes May 17 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time. This position will report to the Controller. Position Summary: The incumbent is responsible for leading the development and implementation of accounting policies, processes, and activities for the maintenance and reporting of timely, accurate, and complete accounts, records, and financial statements for the District and its Trusts consistent with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), District standards, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) requirements, contracts and agreements, debt covenants, and/or laws and regulations. This position leads activities related to certain regulatory compliance activities and tax filings. The incumbent leads the financial and accounting responsibilities for financial activity with the Southwest Power Pool (SPP), The Energy Authority, and any other equity investments by the District.
