Responsibilities Manages/develops programs to reduce accidents, occupational illnesses, and exposure to long-term health hazards through: Safety-training of all employees Planned inspections: Skill training: First-aid care: Emergency preparedness: New employee and contractor indoctrination: Physical protection: Planned job observation: Rules and practices: Job analysis/procedures: Protective equipment: Consistently active within the field providing regular support and guidance to salary and hourly employees to maintain a safe work environment that is consistent with the company’s policies and state/federal regulations Continually engages salary and hourly employees to ensure the desired safety behaviours are being demonstrated at all levels of the organization Maintains compliance with governmental regulatory agencies Assist with root cause analysis for accidents, incidents and near miss events; assist in development and implementation of corrective actions Provides coaching and subject matter expertise to the region’s management and hourly employees in all matters related to health and safety including all potential losses Leads the region in the execution of Carmeuse’s Health & S...
